RTU

The input and computed values in sub.net are made available to a SCADA system via the Ethernet and RS485 ports. These support the Modbus and DNP3 protocols. The DNP Device Profile can be configured for timed unsolicited responses. The parameters available include –

  • RMS voltages and currents
  • Apparent, real & reactive power and power factor
  • Real & reactive energy meters
  • Maximum demand level
  • Contact input status
  • Alarm output status
  • Voltage & current THD
  • Asset condition (Circuit breakers and battery)

Measurements and source data from event and trend reports can be uploaded to other systems like data historians and asset databases. PI Historian has an import utility (UFL) specifically for CSV and XML attachments to an email.
